Antioch Christian Church began in January of 2014 with the vision to be “A Kingdom Minded, Christ Exalting, Multi-generational, Community of Faith.” To see this vision fulfilled, there was a mission put in place that is vital to this church. That mission is “to Proclaim the Supremacy of Christ to All Men With a View Towards Biblical Conversion and Comprehensive Discipleship.” These two statements still define ACC today.

In this local congregation, ACC has a plurality of elders that lead and provide spiritual oversight to its members. ACC is committed to functioning with a plurality of elders. The term elder is synonymous with the term pastor. However, pastor refers to the function (imperative), while elder refers to the office (indicative). While some churches have elders who function as administrators and pastors who function as ministers, every elder at ACC is a pastor/teacher. Assisting the elders is a body of deacons that help to provide for the physical needs of the local congregation.

Theologically, ACC is a reformed church holding to the 5 Solas of the reformation: Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone,) Sola Fide (Faith alone,) Sola Gratia (Grace Alone,) Solus Christus (Christ Alone,) Soli Deo Gloria (to the Glory of God alone.) Our primary confession of faith is an updated version of the London Baptist Confession of 1689.

This church also operates with a Family Integrated model (see Ministry Model for more information). This means that our families worship together and we do not have any systematic age segregation. We are currently meeting at the Maryville – Alcoa Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 2921 Sevierville Road, Maryville, TN, 37804.
