Cornerstone has distinctives not found in other churches. Leadership is by a plurality of elders (two men responsible together as shepherds—one is full time, but he is continually accountable to the other for his decision-making). The elders hold to “Reformed theology” which emphasizes God’s absolute sovereignty in salvation (the biblical words are “predestination” and “election”). Church life highlights the sufficiency of Scripture. As an example, in March 2019 we sold our fancy, oversized property and moved to a smaller, older location, because the New Testament does not define a church by its property but by Christ's work in its people.
