Join us next May 6-7 for The Life of a Shepherd — a very practical, focused pre-conference for pastors, elders, and leaders-in-training who desire to guide their congregations in accordance with Scripture. This gathering will concentrate on the central duties of church shepherds and the problems they encounter in the local church as they dedicate themselves to the Word of God, prayer, preaching, and counseling.
Learn from Scott Brown, Tom Ascol, Joel Beeke, Scott Aniol, and Brian Borgman as they share key lessons from their years of pastoral labor.
At Church & Family Life, we believe the hope of the world is found in the smallest gatherings — local churches led by faithful pastors who open their Bibles and feed the flock, week after week. While the world seeks strength in size and spectacle, Christ builds His church through ordinary means in ordinary places — through local men, often unknown, who love, lead, and labor among the people God has entrusted to them.
This meeting of men is designed for those who love the church and long to see her purified, strengthened, and guided by the voice of the Chief Shepherd.
We will conclude our time with the Burnings in the Soul Luncheon, where various speakers will offer brief exhortations on the things that are weighing heaviest on their hearts for today’s church.
The Life of a Shepherd will be immediately followed by our 2026 National Conference — Manhood & Womanhood: The Glory of God in the Created Order.
Both events will be hosted at the Ridgecrest Conference Center, located in North Carolina’s picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains.
