How should we utilize the opportunities and abilities God has entrusted to us?

Conrad Mbewe reminds us that God has granted us both opportunities and abilities, which we are to use for His cause and glory. During challenging times, we must resist the urge to retreat in fear, instead applying our intelligence and wisdom to further God's mission. It's crucial to remain active in our faith, ensuring that we contribute to developing families, churches, and societies that reflect God's will.

We are cautioned against the complacency demonstrated by the foolish and lazy servant who buried his talent. God desires us to be proactive, serving as His instruments on earth. By heeding the call to occupy until He returns, we actively participate in His plan and fulfill our role in His kingdom.

Matthew 5:16 (NKJV): "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

God has given us as individuals and us as families opportunities and abilities. And He expects us to use those opportunities and abilities for his cause and for his glory. We are not, especially in bad times, to go into hiding for fear of what might happen to us. We must use our intelligence, of course. We must be wise, as wise as serpents, as innocent as doves, but ensure that God's cause continues, whichever way we can, so that in the end we have families that God wants us to have, we have churches that God wants us to have, and we even have societies that God wants us to have because we are the instruments in his hands.

We cannot afford to do what that foolish and lazy servant did of hiding the talents in the ground and then saying, well we knew you were sovereign, you could do whatever you please and so forth. No, no, no, no. God wants to use us. So occupy until I come.
