Message to daughters — when it comes to your gender, the most terrifying thing the Devil sees is a faithful mom raising her children at home. This beautiful picture is in direct odds with a culture at war with God. While feminism’s lies say that the Bible’s limitations on women are restrictive, they’re actually liberating. The submissive woman is wise and undaunted. She smiles at the future, not frightened by any fear (Prov. 31:25). She radiates the fragrance of Christ in every place. She’s formidable, because she’s following God’s perfect design for her role. So, parents — encourage your girls to exalt Christ by living out this lovely image.
Let's talk about taking dominion with your daughters in a culture at war with God. My wife Deborah and I raised three daughters, But we understood we're living in a culture at war with God and therefore with womanhood and therefore our own daughters. There are so many confusing and diabolical messages for young women today. Every culture at war with God needs the word of God to straighten it out. And that's why God makes it very clear, do not learn the way of the Gentiles, do not walk in the statutes of the nations, be saved from this perverse generation.
And of course, the Bible places distinctive limitations on women, on the roles of men and women, but when God does the limiting, It's a limitation that liberates, it sets you free to be what you were created to be. And in some ways, because of the disfigurements of womanhood in our culture, this is the best time ever for real womanhood to shine. Peter tells us you're a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, his own special people. And biblical womanhood actually shines that. And while it's disappearing in our culture, while feminism is erasing womanhood, there's this slow motion wipeout of the beauty and the power of femininity.
It's a satanic wipeout. Womanhood is described in the Bible as a picture of productivity, strength, vigor. The distinctively feminine woman, while she is a submissive woman, she is a helper, she is secure, The Bible says she's not frightened by any fear. She's confident in the future. She smiles on the future she's filled with the wisdom of God and her worth is far above Ruby's and her truck her husband trusts her because she is doing good to him all the days of her life.
She's clothed with strength and dignity, Proverbs 31. The law of kindness is on her lips. The Bible calls her a pillar, sculptured in palace style. She's radiating the beauty of Jesus Christ, diffusing the fragrance of Christ in every place. And the world needs Christ-loving, family-building, scripture-faithful, husband-helping, home-making, dominion-taking, kingdom-making, modest and terrifying women.
She's beautiful, she's formidable, she is according to God's design. So it's so important that we cherish womanhood, manifest the glory of womanhood and demonstrate its majesty and its power. God is the designer and He only designs beautiful things. And she is terrifying as an army waving its victory banners. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.
