How are all things summed up in Christ?

Paul Thompson explains in this video that the Apostle Paul wants us to understand that all things are summed up in Christ. All things are summed up in Him. The understanding of all things is found in Him.

He is the sum total of all things. If at any moment Christ ceased being God, all things would crumble and fall apart. In Christ, all things are held together.

Ephesians 1:7-10 (NKJV) - "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him."

When the Apostle Paul tells us that all things are summed up in the Lord Jesus Christ, he's showing us that there is a standard, there is a plumb line, And that all things are, if you will, measured up against this plumb line. Everything is summed up in Him. The understanding of all things is found in Him. The explanation of everything is found in relationship to Him. So He is the sum total of all things.

And at any moment for Jesus to cease being God, all things crumble, all things fall apart. So it's in Christ that all things are held together, and in Him is the sum total of all things in the universe. You
