How can we help our children to love the church?

Gary Powers explains in this video that the church can't exist without strong families and a strong family cannot exist without a strong church

Accordingly, we need to teach our children to ask themselves how they can serve the church instead of asking how the church can benefit them. The Bible states that it is more blessed to give than to receive. We need to model that for them.

Acts 20:35 (NKJV) - "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’"

I think the church or the family and the local church, I think It's circular because the church can't exist without strong families and strong families can't exist without a strong local church and so again we need to teach our children to love the local church to be involved and and and to not look at the local church as something that's there to meet my needs but looking at the local church and saying how can I give? What does the local church need that I have? What are the gifts that God has given me that I can give away to the local church. And I think we need to, we have such a consumer mentality in America when it comes to the church, and we need to stop it, and we need to say, how can I serve, how can I help others, instead of looking always at what I can get?
