What are some things parents must consider in regards to letting their children access the Internet?

There are certainly significant risks to allowing your family to access the Internet and parents must use caution and discernment in this area. It should not be something that parents casually do. While the Internet certainly has many benefits, there are also many dangers associated with it.
James 4:17 (NKJV) - "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin."
Use the internet in your home. You need to have the computer in a public space, have it in an open area so that everyone can see just a little bit of accountability and walk with them. My daughter, before she goes to, she literally says, "'Dad, can I go to Google to check on such and such for my report project?'" And to some that might sound extreme, but I'm going, what was that again? What are we looking for? And okay, yeah, do that and then we're done.
Get that printed out or whatever and then we're done with it. Because it can literally, everyone who's used the internet knows how you can go to the internet for one thing. Oh, that looks interesting and you click on that and oh, that looks interesting and before you know it you know two hours later you're way down the road that you had no idea was there and regret that you've gone down that road.
