Clarence Simmons explains in this video that in many marriages, after a man and woman marry, there is a lack of pursuing each other. This should not be the case. A husband should continue to pursue his wife and tell her that he loves her and appreciates her.

Colossians 3:14 (NKJV) - "But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection."

And one of the things I see is that, you know, even with younger couples, they pursue in a courtship, But when they get married, the pursuit stops. And my mindset is that continual pursuit of your wife as though you have a continual courtship. And that's how one of the ways You keep it sweet, communication, praying with your wife, just adoring your wife and letting her know how lovely she is all the time as a reminder, not as a pretentious thing, but constantly just reminding her of how lovely and precious she is. One of my reminders, the fact is this, I'm dealing with the king's daughter. So I have to be careful how I talk to the king's daughter, how I treat the king's daughter, how I listen to the King's daughter, and I'm talking about King Jesus.

And so that's some of the ways in which you continually keep that marriage sweet and ongoing.
