Anthony Mathenia explains in this video that for any young person questioning the decisions and lifestyle of their parents, they should ask themselves if they are questioning their parents and the decisions that they have made or are they questioning what God has commanded? Are you willing to take God at His Word? Open up the Scripture and see what God has said.

Psalm 119:160 (NKJV) - "The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever."

Yeah, for a young man or young lady who has grown up in the church with Christian parents, who's now questioning the faith of their parents and the lifestyle and choices that their parents are making, I would say, are you legitimately questioning, I would ask, are you legitimately questioning your parents and the choices that they've made and the decisions that they've made? Or ultimately, are you questioning what God has said? Your parents, if they've grown up in a biblical church, then they have sought to do what God has commanded in the scriptures. And your problem, your concern, isn't so much with them as it is with the God that they've been following. So I wouldn't question them.

I think you're questioning the wrong person if you're questioning your parents. To open up the Bible, are you willing to question God? Are you willing to hear from Him? Are you willing to take Him at his word and believe what he says about what your lifestyle should look like, what your faith should look like. So I wouldn't be hard on your parents with regard to the choices that they've made, but I would open up the Bible and search for yourself and see what the God who made you says about the worship that you owe him with your life.
