Jason Dohm explains in this video that the idea of sexual sin is not something new. In fact, Scripture deals with sexual sin many times. As with any sin, the hope for individuals who are besieged by these kinds of sin is that Jesus can save those who believe in the Gospel and trust in Him.

1 John 1:9 (NKJV) - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Sexual sin is not new. And the Bible deals with sexual sins that are actually beyond where our culture has even gone yet. So it's legitimate to say, oh, this is bad, and this is unprecedented. It's unprecedented in our experience, certainly not unprecedented in human history. If you go to Leviticus 18 and 20, which are sort of the chapters that define different kinds of sexual immorality.

I mean, you have things that would be even hard to talk about, they're difficult to read and work through in family worship, it has to be done very carefully by family. So all that to say, these aren't really new things and the Bible speaks to them. And the hope for people who are caught up in these things is the hope for everyone who's caught up in any category of sin, which is Jesus Christ can wipe away any sin to all who repent believe the gospel.
