Jason Dohm explains in this video that if the children of Christian parents are questioning their gender, parents need to help their children focus on what Scripture has to say. At the beginning of Scripture, we see how God created both men and women. Parents should bring their children to Scripture and explain that it has nothing to do with tradition or opinion but that it is so because Scripture says so.

John 14:6-7 (NKJV) - "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.'"

To Christian parents who have children who are questioning sexuality or gender, I would first say focus on the Bible. The Bible speaks clearly to all these things. There's nothing new under the sun. There's nothing that hasn't been experienced before and that the Bible doesn't address. And so get very familiar yourself with the things that the Bible says.

For instance, you don't have to leave even Genesis chapter 1, the very beginning of the Bible, God creating mankind in his own image, male and female. God did that. This is not a human construct. And so scriptures like that bring such clarity so parents should know those inside and out especially if they have children who are questioning those things. Bring the Bible to bear.

I quote the Bible. Take them to the Bible. Explain. Let their eyes land on the words of the Bible so that they see exactly, this is not my opinion, this has nothing to do with just how I was raised or my cultural background, but it has to do with what the Word of God says. Most people are not questioning these things on their own initiatives. It's coming in through the culture. If you go back 20 years, the questions about gender and what gender I am, no one is thinking in those terms, no one is talking to those terms.
