Sam Waldron explains in this video that if women marry, God has called them to a supportive role. We see the word "helper" used in the Bible refer to God Himself as the helper of His people. A woman should see herself as God's instrument to bring support to a needy man and children.

Genesis 2:18 (NKJV) - "And the Lord God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.'"

Women need to know that one of the things to which they're called, if they're called to be a biblical, godly woman, is that they're called to a supportive role. And this is what brings on them the whole mass of responsibilities that make up what it means to be a wife and mother, that God has called them and they have undertaken a specific reference to a certain man and his children when they married that man of a role of supportiveness that God made her for this role. I will make Adam a helper suitable to him. He makes Eve and he brings her to Adam just as he brought Adam to the garden because that was Adam's job. So he brings the woman to the man because he is her job.

And I think that's important to understand for a woman that God has made her for this role. This is a calling that she has. The other thing that I think really helps with this whole issue of her calling is, one of the interesting things about the term helper used in Genesis 2.18 is that though it's used of the woman and her helping role to the husband in the first two occurrences in the Old Testament. The next two occurrences and massively many of the other 105 or so occurrences of the word helper in the Old Testament refer to God himself as the helper of his people.
