Steve Hopkins explains in this video that when we open the Scriptures with our families, you are going to see who God is and who man is. You will see how man is depraved and in need of a Savior. You will learn about Christ, who came to earth to save. Times of family worship should be a non-negotiable. We shouldn't read Scripture and pray simply because we feel like it.

Deuteronomy 6:7 (NKJV) - "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."

If you open the scriptures with our families, what we're going to be doing, no matter where you start, we start in Genesis and we go through the entire Bible every year, you're going to be going through the scriptures and you're gonna be seeing who God is. You're gonna get a clear picture of who God is and you're gonna get a very clear picture of what man is and his depravity and his fallen state. And then you're gonna get a very clear picture of man's need for a savior. And you're gonna get a very clear picture of who that savior is and the person of Jesus Christ, God's own son, who came to earth for that very mission to save his people from their sins. And you're gonna get a very clear picture that God commands all men everywhere to repent and believe the gospel of his son.

So family worship is opening the scriptures with your family. It is singing the praises of God with your family in the home and it is prayer, praying together, praying with your wife and praying with your children. If you don't have children yet, family worship is with your wife. If you have children, it's with your wife and with your children. I believe that the scriptures teach that family worship is non-negotiable.

It's not we do this if we feel like it, but we do it because we're commanded to do it. I mean even if you start with with Deuteronomy chapter 6 and you look at what is commanded, you know, From the time you
