Clarence Simmons explains in this video that it is vital for parents to constantly return to Scripture and faithfully tell them the truth. We have to be diligent and teach Scripture to them beginning from when they are young. Parents should start discussing topics and issues with their children earlier rather than later.
Romans 15:4 (NKJV) - "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope."
We can't get away from where we are right now, and I think it's vital, especially in our day and age, for parents constantly. And that's why, Again, we must go back to the foundation, we must go back to the source, the word of God. We have to constantly instill, constantly renew even, the teachings of scripture in the minds of our children. God made male and female, male and female, because we have to do that, because you have the world just saying something totally different all the time. So we have to do it all the time.
We can't afford to get slack, slack in any way in that particular, on that particular, that particular issue. You can have in-law, you can have family members who have embraced this, and so you have to try to guide the minds as much as you can of your children, but we have to tell them the truth. It's not just going to happen. We have to constantly be telling them, even though you got this 14 year old struggling, but we need to tell them from the time coming up. We can't wait till they're just 17 and say, oh, let me tell you about male and femaleness.
No, we need to constantly remind them, you are a boy, God made you that way. You are a girl, God made you that way. And you're going to see some things in this world because we can't hide them. You're going to see some things in this world that look totally different. And I'm telling you, that's not God's way.
That's rebellion against God. And we want to pray. We want to evangelize. We want to teach. Because we want to love people because we want them to come to the same knowledge of God in Jesus Christ.
