Tom Ford explains in this video that in our society, many individuals have raised their family in the way they feel is right. However, when they stray from the Bible, they often follow the ways of the world. God didn't leave us without answers. Rather, He has given us clear direction in His Word to help us to know how to serve and please Him.

Psalm 119:110 (NKJV) - "The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I have not strayed from Your precepts."

Is there a theology of the family? Certainly there is, but unfortunately in our society many people have gone and done family the way they wanted to do it and the church has just followed them. Often when people are ignorant of what the Bible says about family they just do what their parents did before them and follow the ways and the culture and the people around them. But I'm thankful that God didn't leave us to ourselves, but He's given us clear direction in His Word to show us how we should live to please Him. And the family is a part of that.

He makes real clear directions for husbands and for wives, for parents and for children.
