Paul Carrington explains in this video that beginning in the book of Genesis, we see Adam blaming Eve. Blame continues to plague families even today. Children will blame siblings and spouses will blame each other. This is what overthrew the first family in the Garden of Eden. How are you not taking responsibility for your actions?

Romans 2:1 (NKJV) - "Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things."

In Genesis 3, after Adam and Eve sin, we find the Lord walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and Eve are now hiding themselves. They've covered themselves with fig leaves. They're trying their best to make the best out of a terrible situation, as it were. There's so much symbolism in regards to what the fig leaves actually represent, man's attempt to make himself right without God. But what you find in this is right when the Lord begins to question Adam, what does he do?

He points his finger at his wife and of course when now the Lord questions Eve, she points her finger outside of herself to someone else. And this really is the story of humanity, this idea that the problem exists somewhere outside of us. And even today, you know, families are plagued with this. Children right from the very beginning will blame their siblings. Husbands will blame their wives.

Even in Christian homes, oftentimes there'll be this kind of attack taking place right from within the walls of the family, this incessant attack of one against another, forgetting that this was really what overthrew the first family in the garden.
