What should each father strive for?

Stephen Hopkins explains in this video that it should be the objective of a father to take what God has given him and to transmit that to the next generation, his children. He should aim to take the mighty works of God and communicate it with the desire that they would do the same with their own children.

We should desire that our children be saved and experience the powerful work of Christ. Why? For God's glory.

Psalms 78:5-7 (NKJV) - "For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; that the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children, that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments"

This father in Psalm 78 has a vision. He has this great hope, this great burning desire within him. It is his prayer and it is the objective of his life to take the faith that he has been instructed in, this wonderful faith of what God has done with him and with his soul, and to transmit that to the next generation, to his children, specifically to take the word of God, the mighty works of God, who God is, what he has done, and to communicate that to his children. And not only that, but to communicate it to his children with the the the great desire that they would do the same with their children that's what that's what psalm seven eight is all about it says it says he he it that our fathers were commanded that they should make these things known that the the word of god the truth of God's Word about who God is and His mighty works and make them known to their children so that for the purpose that the generation to come might know them, might understand these things, even the children which should be born. That's expecting that there's going to be...

You're going to have children, you're going to have grandchildren. They're going to be born and that they would then arise, your children, and take the things you've taught them and communicate them to their children as well, to your grandchildren. For the purpose that they might set their hope in God we want our children to be saved we want our children to to experience what we've experienced the powerful work of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and what He's done for us. We want our children to experience this and we want our children's children to experience this and we want to go on for generation after generation after generation. That's our vision, that's our hope, That's our prayer, why?

For God's glory.
