Why must we be careful in determining what we decide to watch and listen to today?

Pooyan Mershahi explains in this video that we must be wary how watch we watch and listen to can affect us. Christ said that adultery, lying, stealing come from the heart.

1 John 2:16 (NKJV) states: "For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." There are many temptations in the world. Accordingly, we must use discernment in what we allow ourselves to be influenced by.

Mark 7:20-23 (NKJV) - "And He said, 'What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.'"

We could have Hollywood in our hearts without realizing it. We could have the same kind of philosophy in our hearts. The Lord Jesus Christ spoke about those things that comes out of the heart. Adultery, and fornication, and lying, and stealing. Those things come from the heart.

And so every one of us, in some way, we could say, have a Hollywood in our hearts. And so we are tempted oftentimes. The embodiment of Hollywood is described in 1 John, the first letter of John, and chapter 2 and verse 16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. You
