What should guide us as we raise our children?

Anthony Mathenia explains in this video that when we view how people have raised their children, we only need to see how the the last generation turned out.

No matter how promising they may seem, the world's methods are always going to be insufficient. Our only option is to rely exclusively on God's Word, looking to see what He says about raising godly men and women and expecting them to be keepers of the commandments in Scripture.

Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV) - "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."

When we look at our culture and all of the various ways that people have chosen to raise their kids, We only have to look one step further and see how the last generation turned out with these methods that were chosen to see that the world's methods are going to prove to be insufficient if we're looking to raise boys and girls that become men and women who are lovers of Christ and worshipers of God. Therefore, our only option is to rely exclusively on God's word, looking to see what He says about how we raise our kids, raising the girls to be godly women and raising the boys to be godly men and expecting them to be keepers of the commandments that we find in the scriptures. God hasn't left us wondering what to do with regard to obedience and how to live for Him, what He expects from us, He has done an excellent job of providing that in the Scriptures for us.
