How can parents help their children face the LGBTQ movement?

Carlton McLeod explains in this video that the LGBTQ movement is pervasive and overwhelming at times. He and his wife recognize this and desire to equip their children so that they know what Scripture says.

He and his wife go out of their way to teach biblical gender roles to their children. They tell their children that God made both male and female. They aren't afraid to discuss this with their children and state what Scripture has to say.

Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV) - "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."



This whole idea of LGBTQ is all pervasive and overwhelming. We've literally been overrun with it as well as the transgender issue that's really hot in our culture currently. My wife and I recognize the fact that it's coming in all, I mean literally my daughter wanted to buy a CD that sounded like it was a popular, you know, Christian kind of a group. They had nothing untoward in their lyrics and, you know, no profanity and just really kind of positive and so forth. And I'm going, hey, yeah, that sounds, I'm listening to the cover, that sounds, that doesn't sound too bad.

And then I do a little research and one of the lead singers is you know a gay person and everyone, wow, you know and so here's what we do. We go out of our way to teach all of our children biblical gender roles. God made male, God made female, and it's supposed to be male with female, female with male, and all the scriptures that preach and teach this wonderful thing that God has given us, starting from the garden.
