What is an important lesson to teach our children?

Sam Waldron explains in this video that when children are raised with the mentality that the world resolves around them, they become unhappy, selfish, and self-seeking. It is necessary for parents to teach their children early on that the world doesn't revolve around them.

Teaching our children to serve others instead of solely focusing on one's own needs and desires is crucial for happy family life. Otherwise, there will be constant conflict.

Philippians 2:3-5 (NKJV) - "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."

We live in a child oriented culture and that's not bad in every sense but it is bad when children are allowed to rule the home and they're raised with a mentality and allowed to think that the world really revolves around them.
