How should parents view their role of being parents to children?

When we think about parenting, we also must consider the responsibilities that come with parenting and there are many responsibilities, deep responsibilities. David was a great musician, he was a great warrior, he was a great ruler, he was a great king. But sadly He was not always a great husband and he and his family suffered much for it. For example, David never pained Adonijah and he suffered for it later. The pain fell upon him later on in life.
