What is one thing that we can do to benefit our family?

Kirk Smith explains in this video that there are many challenges of raising a family today. One of things that has helped his family is that they look at everything as an act of worship. When they do that, it makes seemingly mundane tasks so God-centered. It changes the heart of the matter. This idea of keeping everything focused changed every part of his family life.

Colossians 3:2-3 (NKJV) - "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."

There are many challenges raising a family today, and one of the things that has helped me and my family as we have journeyed through this process of little children and now to young adults as well, is that we look at everything as an act of worship. Changing a diaper is an act of worship. Making a meal is an act of worship. And when we do that, it makes seemingly mundane tasks so very important and so God-centered. And we keep everything God-centered in our homeschooling experience, in our Homeslop-ship experience, it changes not just the why, not just the how, but the heart of the matter as well.

And that changes everything.
