What has contributed to the breakdown of the family?

Kevin Swanson explains in this video that there has been a wholesale breakdown of the family. Many children live without a parent because of skyrocketing divorce rates. and many children are born out of wedlock, just to name a few.

In short, our nation is breaking down. The government has been at the forefront of encouraging many of the sins that we see in our world today. They have approved these things for at least a generation and they are responsible in part for the breakdown of our nation.

Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV) - "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."

We have seen the number of kids born without fathers increase sevenfold. Those that are living together outside of the bonds of wedlock has increased tenfold since 1970. Divorce rates, of course, far, far higher than they were in the early 1900s and what we see is a wholesale breakdown of the family. The average child will not be raised by father and mother in this generation. 57% of kids born to Millennials are born outside of wedlock.

This is where we are today. 97% of those who are getting married have confessed to premarital sexuality. So that's the condition of our nation. That means that the nation is breaking down. Well, it turns out the government has been at the forefront of encouraging this form of immorality.

They encouraged the sin of homosexuality, they've encouraged the sin of divorce by loosening the divorce laws in 1967, And then providing for contraceptive abortifacients and paying for these things by government money and now they provide for it through the Obamacare Act without the requirement of a co-pay. So that's a wholesale funding of abortifacients for women who want to live without the responsibility of raising children. And, of course, the abortion scourge as well that began in 1973. So governments have been approving of these sorts of things for at least a generation and they are at the forefront of breaking down the fabric of the nation. You
