Why is it important for a husband, wife, and child to know their biblical role within the home?

Rob Ventura explains in this video that whether it's in the church, government, or the home, if we don't know who the leader is and what each person's role is, it will be a mess. Chaos will ensue.

In the context of the home, if a husband doesn't know his role and that he is to lead and love his wife, there will be trouble. However, when everyone knows their role, it is a beautiful and harmonious picture.

Ephesians 5:25-27 (NKJV) - "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish."

In any organization, whether it's the church or whether it's government or whether it's in the home, If we don't know who the head is or what the other positions are like on a sports team, if you don't know who's the captain and what the other positions are on the field, it's gonna be this. And the same thing holds true with the home. If we don't know our roles, and sadly oftentimes it's the husband who doesn't know his role, he needs to lead his family, he needs to be the head of his wife. Matter of fact, it's not even that he needs to be, he is the head of his wife, just as God is the head of Christ. So when everyone knows their roles, husbands leading, husbands washing of their wives and children with the word, wives submitting unto their husbands as unto the Lord, children obeying their parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Ephesians 6, when everyone on the team, as it were, is playing their position and doing what God calls them to do. It's a beautiful picture. It's a harmonious picture by God's grace. Now the world will mock this, of course. The Evangelical Church, broadly speaking, says this is craziness, but for me and my household, we will serve the Lord and this is how we will do it by God's grace.
