What is the importance of family worship?

Gary Powers explains in this video that family worship must be one of the greatest priorities of fathers in the home. It needs to be done on a regular basis. It would be a good idea to do it twice a day, morning and evening.

It is important to demonstrate the value of Scripture for our children. By the reading and studying of Scripture, we point them to Christ.

Psalm 143:8 (NKJV) - "Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You."

The question is what is the importance of family worship? And I think for fathers this is one of the greatest priorities that we have in the home. It's to be teaching the Word of God and it needs to be done on a regular basis. It shouldn't be hit or miss or when we feel like it or you know if we don't feel like it we don't do it but it needs to be consistent. It ought to be nearly every day, every day if possible.

More than one time a day is better, maybe morning, evening, and I think it's What we're doing is we're setting the Scriptures in front of our children and we're showing them the importance that they have in our own life and the importance in their life. They can trust the Scriptures and they can go to the scriptures and the scriptures will sustain them and will lead them and will guide them and will strengthen them and will encourage them. They'll find hope, they'll find life there. Mostly they'll find Christ there. And if we can set the scriptures before them and continually be pointing them to Christ.
