What can we learn about the role of a husband in Scripture?

Matt Holst explains in this video that in Ephesians 5, we read that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the Church. This is a difficult task. Christ gave Himself for the Church. He shed His own blood for the Church. 

As we look at biblical husbandry, we see that a husband is given much responsibility. He is under God and it is his responsibility for what happens in the home. He must lead his family in a loving manner as Christ led the Church. 

Ephesians 5:25-27 (NKJV) - "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish." 

Well, the obvious example of husband and wife and the paradigm for that is found in Ephesians 5, And I'm sure that's been mentioned many times and most Christians will have heard that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church Which in all reality is the far? Far greater task Set before husbands and wives and Ephesians Why is that to submit to their husbands as to the Lord. But husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. He gave himself for the church. He shed his blood for the church.

And I'm becoming more and more convinced that as We look at biblical husbandry and what it means to be a biblical wife, that the real challenge and the real responsibility lies with the husband. He is under God, the head of the home, and it is his responsibility for what happens in that home, chiefly.
