What does it mean that Christ is the "Bread of Life?"
Pooyan Mershahi explains in this video that Christ says that He is the Bread of Life. When He says this, He means that without Him, we would die. The Lord can see that we are like malnourished people.
We need him. Without him, we will die. We are spiritually malnourished. Christ is the Bread of Life -- He is life to our souls.
John 6:35 (NKJV) - "And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."
Jesus Christ says to us that I am the bread of life. He's saying that really without bread we die. If you have ever seen a picture of a starving child or a malnourished child, we thank the Lord and say, I'm so thankful that I am never hungry as that child. But the Lord is looking beyond all of that. He looks within the soul of man and he sees that we are just like that thin and malnourished child in our souls by nature and So without bread which is Jesus Christ our soul dies and perishes We need him The real person inside of us is dying.
It is spiritually dead. It is spiritually malnourished. Without Him, we will die. And the Lord Jesus Christ says to us, He is the bread of life, therefore we can feed upon Him by faith. He becomes the food for our souls and life to our souls.
