How has Christ exhibited humility throughout all eternity?

John Snyder explains in this video that the humility of Christ doesn't begin when He became a man. God the Son has always delighted to prefer the Father above Himself. 

When the plan of redemption was crafted and the Son was to humble Himself and take our humanity, He gladly embraces it. He does it for the love of the Church and the love of the Father -- He humbly takes that place. 

2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV) - "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich."

In Philippians, Paul says that Christ humbled himself when he took on our humanity, when he took on a life of obedience to the Father, and even to the point of death on the cross. The humility of Jesus, though it doesn't begin when he becomes a man, there is the humility of the eternal Son that God the Son has always an eternity past if we can say it that way. He is always delighted to prefer the Father above himself. So when, if we might think of it in human terms, when the plan of redemption is crafted and the son's part is to become the Redeemer, to represent the people, to humble himself and take our humanity to bear our mockery and our shame and sin. He gladly embraces that, not only for love of his church, but for love of his Father.

He humbly takes that place.
