What happens when we do not daily behold the glory of Christ?

Pooyan Mershahi explains in this video that when Christians do not daily look to Christ and His glory, when they do not behold His glory, as Christians, our eyes are put upon ourselves. 

Christ is the same today, yesterday, and forever. He remains faithful. When we do not behold HIs glory, we focus on a changing world which has no hope. We do not appreciate His salvation. Our longing for Heaven is not what it should be. It should be our aim and prayer that we would have a taste of Heaven when we behold the glory of Christ. 

Hebrews 1:1-3 (NKJV) - "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."

When Christians in their life, daily lives, do not look unto Jesus Christ and His glory, when we do not behold His glory, as the scripture says, then as Christians our eyes is, instead of being put upon Him, is put upon ourselves. It's put upon this world which is changing. Christ does not change. Part of his glory is this that he is the same yesterday and today and forever. He remains faithful.

But when we do not behold his glory, we then see ourselves in a changing world without hope. But also when the Christian does not look upon the glory of Christ and His person, then we will not appreciate His gospel, His salvation. We do not appreciate what He has done for us to forgive us our sins, to make a way for us to know our Father which is in heaven and to glorify our Father in heaven. And so our longing for heaven is not what it should be when we look away from Christ, when we do not behold His glory. Our joys in this world is not what it should be.

It will be filled with sadness and lack of assurance when we do not see Him. So it should be our aim and prayer that every day we would have taste of heaven as we look and behold His glory and person and finished work. You
