Why should we make the Resurrection of Christ our primary focus within the home?

Paul Thompson explains in this video that the Resurrection of Christ should bring about a humbling effect on a household. It should remind us of the power of God over the flesh, sin, and death. It should create a desire in us to know Him.

Because there is no other figure in all of history as Christ. It should create a hunger and thirst to follow Him. In short, our families would be richly blessed if we make the Resurrection of Christ our primary focus.

Philippians 3:8-10 (NKJV) - "Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death."

You know, the effect of the resurrection of Christ, it should bring a humbling effect upon households. When we observe it in households, we should read about the resurrection of Christ often. It reminds us of the power that God has over the flesh. The effect of that then is that it would humble us to obey Him. It would create in us a desire to want to know Him.

Because there is no other figure in all of the world history such as the Lord Jesus Christ, it ought to create inside of us a hunger and a thirst to want to follow Him, to devote everything that we have to Him. So it would be a blessing to our families that we put the resurrection of Christ in front of us.
