What is the effect of Christ not being in our lives?

Pooyan Mershahi explains in this video that when Christ is not in our lives, we cannot see and understand who God is and who we are. Therefore, we need Christ to speak to us and shine within our hearts. Unless He does that, we will not know anything.

Spiritual things will be quite strange to an unbeliever. It will be like explaining to a blind man what color looks like. When we are saved, we finally begin to grasp what life and eternity and salvation is like.

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) – “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Through the light of the world we can then begin to see, but when Christ is not in our lives, it means that we cannot see and understand who God is and who we are. Therefore we need Jesus Christ to speak to us and shine within our hearts. Unless he does that in us, we will not know anything about these things. We cannot see. That is why things, spiritual things will be quite strange to someone who does not understand, does not see these things.

It would be like trying to explain to a fish what dry land looks like or to a blind man what color is like. And so when Christ, as the light of the world, enters into our souls, then it is that we begin to see what life and eternity and Salvation and forgiveness is like.
