What changes after a person is saved?

Paul Thompson explains in this video that after a person is saved, you can see a growing compassion, tenderness, and patience in their lives. You see a sanctifying work in a person’s life where they want to submit to what they’re learning about God and they want to behave differently.

We can see the same thing play out in a family. After a child is saved, they want to worship and obey God. It is a blessing to see Christ working in their life. What a kindness of God to let us see His work in our children’s lives.

2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV) – “Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”

You know, when I watch and see the effects of Christ on other people, you see that there is a growing tenderness about them, there is a growing compassion, there's an increasing patience with people, with other people. And so when you see that happening, you see that there's definitely a sanctifying work of a Holy Spirit in a man's life or a woman's life that They're wanting to submit themselves to what they're learning about God, and they're wanting by behavior to behave differently Than their old self would would typically behave and it would exist the same in a family Father and a mother we watch their children as they grow. There's a difference between a personality of a child and the effectual work of Christ in their life. So you can you can appreciate and love and take pleasure in the personality of each other, but even greater still is to watch when Christ begins to change a child's nature, to where they want to worship God, they want to obey God. And so to watch that happen, Even with a spouse, when my wife would note and see changes in my own life, what a blessed thing that Christ is doing at good work in my life, and vice versa in the relationship of husband and wife.

But in that relationship with children, what a kindness of God that He would let us see the effectual work of what He's doing in our children's lives.
