When we come to worship, we are not customers. Not spectators. It is not a "customer experience." It is not entertainment, a show or a concert. It’s not slick. In fact, we don’t even come with “lofty speech,” or “eloquence,” or “the wisdom of this age” (1 Cor 2:1-7). And, there are “not many wise,” and “not many mighty,” among us (1 Cor 1:26-27).
Rather, the Bible describes our coming together using synonyms for participation, action. Church life is a contact sport, in which we are all in the game together. Each member does its part.

The list could go on, but I’ll stop there. There are over 50 “one another’s” listed in the Bible we could name which describe this contact sport that characterizes the corporate gathering of the church.
To be a part of the church is to engage. Let’s consider one another and stimulate one another to love and good deeds.
