How is Christ our Mediator?

Paul Thompson explains in this video a mediator is a person that stands between two parties. It is a blessing that God put Christ as our Mediator.

We could never be in a relationship with God without Christ. When Christ stands between us and God, He is constantly presenting us in a saved condition before God. He is our advocate. Without Christ, we would be required to face the wrath of God.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NKJV) – “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

So, a mediator is someone who is necessary for them to have a relationship between two different parties. So, when Jesus, when we Look at Jesus as being the mediator. It is a sweetness that God would put someone who would mediate, who would dialogue, who would establish a relationship for us, for God. Otherwise we could never be in such a relationship with God because in a position where we stand as an offender of God, an enemy of God, God's required to judge us. And so a mediator, God himself, steps in and stands, if you will, like a priest.

He stands as one who represents deity for me, and he stands as one as an advocate for me before the Father. So this mediator is constantly representing God to me, and He's presenting me in a sanctified, in a saved condition before the Father. Otherwise, I would be required to face the wrath of God. You
