What is the significance of the cross?

Pooyan Mershahi explains in this video that the cross of Christ is a focal point or intersection where the Lord displays His holiness, justice, and love. Each of these are displayed in the cross of Christ.

God is holy. There is no sin found in Him. He is impeccably holy and therefore He must punish sin. Jesus, the holy lamb of God, died on the cross instead of us. That is why the cross of Christ is so essential because it displays His holiness and judgment for sin.

Philippians 2:8 (NKJV) – “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

In the Bible, the cross of Christ is that focal point and that intersection whereby the Lord displays His holiness, justice and love. They are displayed in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. The cross of the Lord Jesus Christ shows that God is most holy. There is no sin found in Him. He cannot sin.

He is impeccably holy and therefore he must punish sin. A sinner cannot appear in his sight. And so Jesus Christ, the holy Lamb of God, That sacrificial lamb must die upon the cross instead of us. That is the that is why the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ is so essential because it displays God's holiness and his anger upon sin.
