How does the Good Shepherd treat sheep who are stubborn?

Pooyan Mershashi explains in this video that sheep are stubborn creatures. When a shepherd wants to take the sheep and cleanse it, they kick, rebel, and run away.

The shepherd only wants to clean it. The Lord Jesus Christ takes us into His arms to cleanse us. He is cleaning us and it is a wonderful thing. He will not drown us but He will cleanse us.

Psalm 23:1-5 (NKJV) – “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

The sheep is a very stubborn creature as well. And therefore when the shepherd wants to simply take the sheep and to wash it and to cleanse it, It kicks, it rebels, it runs away, it treads upon one another. But the shepherd only wants to clean it. And so it is that the Lord Jesus Christ takes us into his arms to cleanse us. Sometimes we might feel that he is drowning us into water but he's cleaning us and that is a wonderful thing.

He is our good shepherd. He will not drown us, but He will cleanse us.
