Repentance is an initial act where we turn away from serving ourselves, serving sin and turning to christ but, it's also a continual reality in our lives of sanctification as we continue to turn away from sin. When the spirit and the word convict us, we must repent and steer our lives towards Christ. 

Repentance is an initial act where we do initially turn away from serving ourselves and serving sin and turning to Christ, but it's also a continual reality in our lives of sanctification. We continue to turn away from sin when evidence of our sin shows up, when the Spirit and the Word convicts us of where our lives are not what they ought to be, then we must repent and again steer our lives, changing the direction of our lives away from sin and towards Christ. The grace that God continues to show us not only exposes sin, but it reveals what we have in Christ. So we should continually be turning away from the sin that we are and the sin that we do and turning to Christ and His righteousness. You
