Do we continue to experience the grace of God after we are saved?

Paul Thompson explains in this video that he grew up in a godly home and his parents raised him to know who God was. While he was being raised, he was under proper preaching. He had a proper understanding that we all must be repentant of our sin.

He realized that he was a sinner and that he had offended the Creator of the universe. Even though he was in a good home and in a good church, he realized that there still was a need for him to repent. He wanted to learn and grow more. He is and continues to be grateful for the mercy of God.

Titus 3:4-5 (NKJV) – “But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.”

I grew up in a godly home. My parents feared God and loved God. They raised us to know who God is. But In that childhood, and in that being raised in this good home, it was also proper preaching, proper understanding upon the ears of all of us in the home that we must be repenters of our sins. So an articulation that I would say today as a grown man speaking to that nine year old boy probably wouldn't articulate it the same way as a nine year old boy, but the reality is the same.

The truth existed. That I realized at that point that I was a sinner and that I had offended the creator of the universe. And everything that I would think or speak or do was an action against God. Even though it could be defined that I was in a good home, in a good church, and lots of these things, but that reality became a reality for me, and the need for me to repent of my sins. And so from that position forward of wanting to know more of Christ, desiring to know more of Him.

Even again from my old man position articulating, watching myself grow and being sanctified, I would see and note various times in my life where the glory of God would sit more present upon me or I would be more aware of it than at other times. But certainly pleased and grateful and thankful for the mercy of God and for His grace, that even today that I'm still tasting the goodness of His mercy and His grace.
