How should Christ being both God and man impact us?

Rob Ventura explains in this video that Christ is the eternal God who became a man. He is the Word who became flesh. He humbled Himself.   

When we see Christ in the Gospels, we see the emotions of Christ and His physical limitations. He was willing to bind Himself in that condition for sinners – it is amazing. When we think about what He was willing to do for His people, it makes you weep and be in great gratitude.

John 1:14 (NKJV) – “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

So how is Christ fully God and fully man? I could simply answer by saying because He is. That's very simple. But He is the eternal God who in time-space history by way of Mary's womb became man. God became man.

Of course we know the classic text in John 1, verse 1, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. But then when you go down Later in John, and the Word, the Logos, became flesh, eginetos, sarx became flesh. So God became man. That's what the Bible teaches. God became human and praise God that he did because all of that, again, was not an end to itself, but it was an end so that he might go as our redeemer and be cursed in our place so that we might be blessed through his work.

So how would Christ have a human mind and human emotions? And this is all plain because Christ became a man. And remaining what he was, God, he became something he had never been man. And when we see Christ in the Gospels, you see the emotional life of Christ, you see the physical limitations that he willingly assumed so that he needs to rest and needs to eat and needs to drink. So again, and you think about all those things you're saying that he was willing to to bind himself in that condition for me, for sinners.

It just It amazes us. Again, this is why the conference is going to be so exciting, the glory of Christ. Because when we think about what he was willing to do for his people, it makes you weep, it makes you fall down in great gratitude and praise to our God.
