What is one of the primary problems that Millenials face today?

Kevin Swanson explains in this video that one of the primary problems that many Millenials face today is a skepticism and an unwillingness to deal with the true realities of God, sin, and His judgment.

Many young people are not sober -- they blindly follow the ways of the world. Part of this stems from a lack of the fear of God. Another issue that the current generation deals with is pride. The current generation is very proud. They need to embrace humility. They need to demonstrate true repentance. They must thirst after and wholeheartedly believe in the Word of God.

Proverbs 16:18-19 (NKJV) - "Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud." 

There are so many issues that face the millennials today. The primary problem is that they lack the fear of God, and there's a cynicism, a skepticism that seems to dominate the minds of the modern. There seems to be an unwillingness to deal with the true realities, the reality of God, the reality of sin, the reality of God's judgment. And so therefore, the young people are not sober, they're not grave, they're sailing into a 10.0 hurricane and they're partying hardy along the way. And when they wake up and realize what's happening, it will be a tragic, tragic moment.

Unless, unless God by His Spirit wakes them up through the preaching of the Word of God, through the reading of the word of God. So it's the lack of the fear of God. It's taken the 1, 000 escape ramps off the highway of reality that's been so damaging to the millennial generation. Another issue is pride. We live in the proudest nation in the world, and the millennial generation is probably the proudest of all the generations we've ever seen.

They have never seen a Great Depression, they have never seen a World War, they have never come to grips with the reality of sin and God's judgment upon nations. Well, that's soon to come and it will be a wake-up call for our millennial generation. Yes, it's the most narcissistic, self-centered, proud generation that we've had. Well, now's the time to humble yourself. Now's the time to give up of yourself.

Instead of living life for yourself, go sacrifice your life for Jesus somewhere. Go out to India, go out to Africa, and work in an orphanage near where the Muslims do their work, and then suffer martyrdom, and that will be the best life you could ever live. That's the message to give to the millennial generation. They need to have a radical repentance. And the way they look at life, the way they look at the purpose for life, the meaning for life, and the way they look at themselves, and the way they live their lives.

This will only come by reading the Word of God and to contrast the materialistic, narcissistic, self-centered generation with what the Word of God says. Go sell all your goods, give it to the poor, go find a nice walking stick and follow me. Deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow me. That's the message that is very offensive and is exactly opposite what they are learning from the millennial generation.
