What is the effect of a repentant heart?

Rob Ventura explains in this video that repentance is a moving of the heart towards God. If a person's heart is truly repentant and truly is moving towards God, there will always be a reformation of life.

John the Baptist preached a message of repentance. He exhorted his audience to bring forth fruits of repentance. True biblical repentance will always result in reformation and restoration in the life of an individual. To a repentant person, all things become new.

Luke 3:8 (NKJV) – “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.” 

Repentance is really moving of the heart towards God and if that heart is really moved towards God in sincerity and confession there's always going to be reformation of life. So John the Baptist, there he is on the shores of the Jordan preaching repentance. And then the Jewish leadership comes, the soldiers come, and who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth fruits, what? Worthy of repentance.

How do we know that repentance is real? Because there's restoration. Jesus, here, I give fourfold. There's restoration, there's repentance, there's reformation in the life. And that is something that will always follow.

True biblical repentance will always have reformation and restoration in the life of the individual and that's how we know if it's real just like conversion. How do we know conversion is real? If any man is in Christ, he's a new creation, behold all things become new, old things are passing away, all things becoming new. We're looking for fruit So what's the fruit of that repentance? I sinned against his brother.

I went to him. I sought to make it right etcetera, etcetera So those two always go hand in hand you
