How does repentance towards God affect our relationships with others?

Anthony Mathenia explains in this video that because repentance is towards God from the individual, it will affect every part of our lives. As husbands, it will affect how we treat our wives. Living a life of constant repentance will affect the individuals we interact with at our jobs and to all situations that we find ourselves in. 

If we are living a life of repentance that involves turning away from a life of sin and turning towards Christ, the relationships that we have will be sanctified.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Because repentance is toward God from the individual, it will affect every part of who we are. So for me, as a husband, it will affect how I relate to my wife because if I'm living in constant repentance before God I'm going to be in right relationship with God therefore I can respond to my wife in a more helpful way. And the same goes for my children within the home. The same goes for at my vocation, at the office, or at the playground, or at the gym, out in the community within church life, to church members, to co-elders, to co-workers. Whatever context we find ourselves in, if we are living a life of repentance before God, continually turning away from who we are and the things that we do that are not pleasing to Him, and turning to Christ, and seeking to be, seeking to have our lives conformed by His word and to walk with Him, then as a result the relationships that we have, everything from our spouse to our kids to co-workers to friends in town to church members, those relationships will be sanctified.
