How do we combat hypocrisy within the church?

Rob Ventura explains in this video that unbelievers constantly say there are hypocrites in the church. This assessment is hard to argue with. Hypocrisy hurts.

While it is true that many within the church are hypocrites in that they say certain things but their actions and lives do not align with their words, we must remember to ask ourselves how we may be acting hypocritically. We need to follow the Bible and be humble enough to repent when how we are living conflicts with Scripture.

1 John 4:20 (NKJV) - " If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?"

Unbelievers, they constantly point to the church and say the church is full of hypocrites and in many senses it's true. And I have an unbelieving father, a Jewish man, and he's down in Florida and he sees all of the the slick ads and all of the Christians around town and he says they're no different than anyone else, Rob. And it's hard to argue, but he knows me. He knows I've been truly born again from 20 years and he sees in me something different. So the dialogue continues as I continue to evangelize him about Messiah Jesus so you know it hurts the cause but one thing I don't want to do is point fingers always again at those outside you know we want to point for every finger at them, to at ourselves and say, so what do we do as Reformed biblical ministers?

How do we promote the grace of repentance, the grace of faith? How do we have true biblical churches? How do we have true worship, true Lord's Day keeping, true family life? We need to follow the Bible.
