What does repentance look like in the life of a pastor?

Paul Carrington explains in this video that a repentant pastor examines his life by the Word of God. He understands that if he is going to preach to his congregation, he must be willing to humble himself and repent of sin in his life.  

Repentance involves humility. Elders need to be willing to repent and ask for forgiveness. He shares how he has seen examples of this in the church he attends.

Acts 20:28 (NKJV) – “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God[a] which He purchased with His own blood.”

I think repentance in a pastor's life would look like repentance in any man's life, because a pastor is first a man, he's a Christian, he's someone who is probably more, I would hope, than anyone else examining himself by the Word of God and he's considering that if I'm gonna be preaching this to my people I first need to be a partaker of that And so I would think repentance looks like humility. If a pastor perhaps, you know I've seen wonderful examples of this in my own church, with our elders willing to repent if they've said something that is incorrect or even in behavior to go to a person and say, I'm so sorry, please forgive me. And I'm sure they do that before God. In fact, I've been able to attend elders meetings on a weekly basis and to pray on our faces with these men and to hear them cry out before God. It's really been a good experience for me, humbling, because I see men that are willing to confess before God and then make those changes by the grace and by the strength of God.

So that's what I would say that repentance in a pastor's life would look like.
