What are the effects of neglecting to train up our children in the way that they should go?

Ken Ham explains in this video that many parents need to repent of handing their children over to the secular world into an educational system that promotes godlessness. Not only do many parents send their children to an atheistic environment, but many parents neglect to train and teach their children at home. Fathers are not training and equipping their children and teaching them what Scripture says. 

These same parents then send their children to churches that have resorted to entertainment instead of teaching the Word. They are not teaching the Bible as the source of truth. 

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) - "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

I think parents need to repent of just handing their kids over to the secular world. That's what they've done. They basically handed them over to a system, you know, it's about time we faced up to it. The public education system by and large is nothing but a church of atheism. They've thrown the Bible out, they've thrown God out, they've thrown creation out, they say in their textbooks, you can explain the whole of reality by natural processes, What is naturalism?

It is atheism. And so most of our parents have sent their kids to this system and then what? What do they do during the week? Most fathers don't carry out their God-given, God-commanded responsibility to be the spiritual head of their house. They're not training their kids and teaching them what the Bible is telling us.

They're not equipping them to defend the faith They're not equipping them with answers to the Genesis 3 attack of our day They're not doing that they send them to church and most of our churches a lot of them have resorted to entertainment and making music the focus instead of the teaching of the word because they say, how do we get our people in today? And so they become more entertainment oriented and they're not dealing with the aspects of the Genesis re-attack they're not teaching the Bible is a real book of history.
