Do we have a right thinking about holiness?
Anthony Mathenia explains in this video that it is crucial that we have a reformation in how we think about holiness.
We must look to see the beauty of holiness in the Scripture. We live in a society that frowns upon holiness. But, Scripture states that it is an incredible privilege, opportunity, and blessing to be in communion with God. We would do well to think more biblically about holiness and godliness in our lives.
2 Corinthians 7:1 (NKJV) – “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
When we think about godliness in our lives and holiness in the way that we carry ourselves in society, It's crucial that we have a reformation in the way that we think about holiness. And the best way for our minds to be affected with regard to what we think about holiness is by looking to see the beauty of holiness in the Scriptures. We live in a day when holiness is frowned upon for the most part, but according to the Scriptures it is the most blessed life. It's a beautiful opportunity that we have to walk in communion with the living God unhindered by anything. But because of living a life of repentance and of ongoing belief and trust and faith in Christ alone for the salvation of sins, we have the privilege of walking continuously and living before God in perfect communion.
And it would, we would do well to think more biblically about it, to have a Reformation in the way that we think about holiness and godliness in our lives. You
