Does repentance continue even after salvation?

Jason Dohm explains in this video that Martin Luther once said the heart of the Christian life is repentance. Once you have been justified, there is nothing you can do to be somehow more justified. But that doesn't mean that repentance is something that Christians do once and never again. 

Rather, Christians are a people who are repenting multiple times every day because they understand that they fall short of the glory of God. 

Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV) – “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”



So Luther said that the heart of the Christian life was repentance and he's so right about that. There is a repentance unto life where a person passes from death to life through repentance and faith and once you've been justified you are justified and you and you can't become unjustified and you can't become more justified but that doesn't mean that there's no role for repentance in the life of a Christian. Christians actually are people who if they're doing rightly and thinking rightly are repenting every day or repenting many times every day because we're finding that we still are short of the glory of God. There's still so many things in our thinking and our speaking and our doing that fall short of the law of God as we see it lived out in the life of Jesus Christ. You
