Does repentance precede faith or does faith come first?

Curt Daniels explains in this video that both faith and repentance occur at the same time. He references John Murray who explained in his book, Redemption – Accomplished and Applied, that “[t]here is no priority. The faith that is unto salvation is a penitent faith and the repentance that is unto life is a believing repentance … saving faith is permeated with repentance and repentance is permeated with saving faith.”  In short, faith and repentance go hand in hand and are inseparable.

Mark 1:14-15 (NKJV) – “Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.’”

As John Murray, the great theologian said, it's a believing repentance and a repenting belief. They're not two separate steps. Some wonder, well, do we repent first and then believe, as some say, or is it the other way around, as Calvin said? Instead of saying it's one step and then the other, I say it's a two-footed jump at the same time they overlap.
